| age 84 of Detroit, MI. passed away Wednesday, July 2, 2008. Beloved wife of the late Patrick Burns and James Sullivan. Dearest mother of Elizabeth Sullivan, James (Nadine) Sullivan, Timothy (Cynthia) Sullivan, Michael (Joan) Burns, Patrick Burns and Joseph Burns. Loving grandmother of 13, loving great-grandmother of 15. Dear sister of Bob, Dick, Stan and Kenny Erwin and Patricia Gray. Mildred was a devout Catholic, retired nurse and was devoted to her family. The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 6 from 2-8pm with a Rosary at 7:00 at the Muehlig Funeral Chapel, Ann Arbor. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday at 10a.m. at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, Ann Arbor with visiting from 9 until time of Mass. Noralee was loved by all who knew her. She enjoyed Tiger baseball games, Bingo, and Casino trips. Visitation Saturday from 5-9 p.m. and Sunday from 1-9 p.m. at the Sterling Heights Chapel of the E.J. Survived by his beloved family, wife, Loretta, daughters, Lois Brookins and Marie (Adam Williams) Emmendorfer, son, Norman (Elena), four grandchildren, brothers, Jack (Darlene), Allen, and Jim (Karen), all of Michigan, sister, Joyce Emmendorfer, and nieces and nephews. Dennis was part of the deaf community at Bethel Christian Fellowship. Friends may attend his Memorial Service at 10 a.m. Saturday at Farrell-Ryan Funeral Home, 777 Long Pond Rd. | "TOMMY" PATERSON Born May 25, 1914 to Edmund and Marjorie Paterson of Detroit, and passed away peacefully June 14, 2008. Tommy grew up in Detroit graduating from Liggett High School and the University of Michigan where she was a member of Alpha Phi. She married Carl Fischer and they spent their working lives in Birmingham and Bloomfield Hills, MI. Tommy was a wonderful wife and mother and with her strong support, was a major asset to Carl's successful business career. Tommy was a member of the Junior League and was active in the golf community at Oakland Hills CC as well as Bloomfield Hills CC. Carl and Tommy retired to Vero Beach, Florida where they were one of the early members of the John's Island Golf Club. Tommy was preceded in death by her loving husband Carl (1999) and will be missed greatly by her children Carl Fischer of Stuart, FL, Nancy Kay of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and Corinne Stolz of Rancho Palos Verdes, California, six grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested contributions to University of Michigan Alumni Association, Attn: James Spies, 200 Fletcher St., Ann Arbor, MI 48109 or Hospice of the Treasure Coast, 1201 SE Indian St., Stuart, FL 34997. Arrangements have been entrusted to Strunk Funeral Homes and Crematory, Vero Beach. |
