JUNOD DORIS FOSS Long-time resident of Royal Oak and pioneer of local 1950s television, died on August 23, age 90. Born Doris Labbitt, she was the daughter of Raymond and Myrtle Labbitt. From 1954 to 1962, she and her mother teamed in a popular women's show on CKLW-TV as "Myrt and Doris." Later, she taught in the Royal Oak Public Schools. She married Jack Junod (died 1995) in 1941. They had four children. She married Glendon Foss (died 2010) in 1996. She is survived by a sister, Joan Dragin, of Columbus, Ohio; four children, Jo Ellen (Ryan) of Northville; Jacqueline Brown of Breckenridge, Colorado, Barbara Junod of Lexington, Kentucky, and James Junod of Grand Rapids. She had seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. A commemorative gathering will be held on September 17 at 2:00 p.m. at the home of Jo Ellen Ryan in Northville.
